Our History:

Based on an idea he had in 1998, when starting his studies in IT, the founder of the company, Geoffrey Mormal, started in 2012 the R&D dedicated to build an autoomous drone.
At that time, the goal was more exploratory than entrepreunarial, since there was almost nothing already done and a very few products were emerging worldwide.

In 2014, a first version was flying, as a prototype, based on cheap radio and an onboard computer. But the genesys was there... A computer, connected to an autopilot, on a flying drone, linked by radio to a ground computer.

A first drone, with a carbon frame and fully 3D printed, with a raspberry pi and an XBee radio.

Lot has been learned with this prototype, like electromagnetic issues, communication problems, constraints, flight security, ...

In 2014, a Company is created in New-York, to develop a business around that technology. In 2016, Geoffrey Mormal sold his shares, left the company, and started ALX Systems, with in mind this simple idea;
Make an operating system for drones, allowing business applications with the minimum customization and abstracting the hardware complexity

Back in 2016, we already had an architecture decoupled from the traditional RC-Controller/Drone paradigm.

We've built an architecture where swarming was easy, secure communication between elements was obvious, and where the pilot becomes an operator of a system dedicated to fullfill missions.
You could create an application, and deploy it on our system.

An operating system for drones.

We accelerate our growth and faced two major issues; first one being the immaturity of the hardware market, as high as his cost, second issue was the legislation implying some huge limitations on our potential customers business.

To settle our hardware issue, we started a department dedicated to design and build UAVs, and to manage the issues with our customers not being able to go easily on the market with a drone business, we headed to the military market, where we brought in 2018 the first Interceptor drone; a drone able to intercept and neutralize other drones. The same year, we won the NATO Innovation challenge with this solution.

In 2020, with the COVID we lose most of our contract due to the lack of parts making us unable to deliver.

In 2022, for several reason, we faced several failure, and had to declare bankruptcy.
This was a huge deception.

But not for too long, the founder, Geoffrey Mormal, bought back the company, and relaunched it with a new team and gathered again success in technology development, innovation, and customer deliveries.
With this restart, a new department has been created, to develop our own electronic, getting us able to build end-to-end solutions, from the wires of the motors to the data analysis.

Our company is now fully independant of any provider, technologically independant of any component and on his way back to success.
